~For most of my youth, I never saw myself as beautiful, but I could always see the beauty in others.
~I struggled academically, yet I used education as a way to prove my worth and create a better path.
~I believed determination would carry me through, even when I made mistakes.
~I married young, built my career, and became a mother to two incredible children, a daughter and a son.
~Life felt aligned. I found joy in my work, my family, and the path I was on.
~I was in love, until the day I discovered I was not.
~A career move took me away from my family, and divorce soon followed.
~My daughter was already living independently on her own.
~My son, still young, struggled deeply with depression and anxiety.
~At 17, my son tragically ended his life, a loss no parent is ever prepared to face.
~Three years before retirement, and just months before becoming a grandmother, my world shifted completely.
~The joy I once felt disappeared, and I found myself moving through life on obligation alone.
~Grief, confusion, and depression became part of my daily reality.
~I knew something had to change, I needed to find purpose again.
~Before I could serve others, I had to learn how to support myself in my new reality.
~Through a chance connection, I began attending women’s empowerment sessions that helped me release beliefs that no longer served me.
~That journey led me to becoming certified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Quantum Time Techniques.
~With my background in Communication Studies, my understanding of how language shapes our identity and actions deepened.
~But the most important realization was this:
We’re never taught how to communicate with ourselves.
~Our inner dialogue shapes our choices, our behaviors, and our lives.
~When we understand our thoughts, we gain the power to change them.
~While healing hasn’t taken away my sense of loss, it has given me the ability to live alongside it.
I can grieve… and still experience joy.
I can feel pain… and still find purpose.
I can serve others… and continue to heal.
What I’ve learned is this:
When you learn to communicate with yourself, everything else begins to change.
